Blake and Dave discuss seeing this scene for the first time before you realise that the hunted have become the hunters; the only time in the film that De Niro is so incredibly animated; David shares stories of Mann's use of music in THE KEEP and THIEF and music wrangler Bob Badami's insights working alongside the great auteur.

David Michael Brown

David Michael Brownis a British ex-pat living in Sydney, Australia. Working as a freelance writer his work has appeared in Filmink, The Big Issue, SBS Movies, Rolling Stone and Empire Magazine, where he was Senior Editor for almost nine years. He is presently writing a book on the film music of German electronic music pioneers Tangerine Dream and researching a project on Andy Warhol associate and filmmaker Paul Morrissey. A huge fan of the trashier side of cult films, his love of the movies of Russ Meyer, John Waters and Mario Bava shows no bounds: he proudly declares that Faster Pussycat Kill! Kill! and Danger: Diabolik is his all-time favourite film and interviewing A Clockwork Orange star Malcolm McDowell was the biggest thrill of his professional career thus far.
