That’s a line from Inherent Vice the novel… and here’s our wayward host, thinking a lot about it lot these days, as the little parenthesis of light left in 2020 America seems slimmer and slimmer and slimmer. It’s also a line that ol’ PTA lamented leaving out of the film adaptation in an interview with today’s guest…which is as good a place to start the conversation as any other, or our host thinks as the dark shadow of the Golden Fang seems to loom taller and darker over all with every passing day…
